PALM OIL MILL – OIL RECOVERY FROM EFFLUENT WATER

The concept of the mill is using the latest in palm oil milling technology to enhance efficiency at low operating cost.

Through innovation and research Mecpro has been able to improve the process technologies to enhance the OER by at least 1% and to improve the quality of oil and by-products. In our continuous effort at identifying the inefficiencies of existing process technologies, we observed that each and every step of the process can improved. We will come out with more improvements periodically and will publish these on our website.

To conclude, our effort will be to have a state-of-art design for the Palm Oil Mills, with increasing OER, lower losses, improvement in quality and ease of operation and maintenance. The equipment used has the latest technology with proven performance.

How to improve the OER?

The latest technological development to extract the remaining oil from palm fruit fiber has been established by our company for the first time in the global market. This extraction technology will enhance the productivity of oil and change the economics of processing palm fruit with the OER increasing by at least 0.5 to 0.75% depending upon the process currently used.

The latest technological developments to recover the floated and emulsified oil from the Palm Oil Mill Effluent will enhance the OER by 0.6 to 0.9%. Besides, it will enhance the quality of the oil and reduce the FFA level (patent applied for). Further to that it will help to reduce the effluent quantity as well as reduce the BOD and COD.
